Day ONE - Let's Talk Turkey Blog Hop

Hello Crafty Friends~
Welcome to Day ONE of LET'S TALK TURKEY BLOG HOP!!
*** THIS IS A TWO DAY HOP with at least one NEW project from each blog, EACH DAY!! If you have just come from Robin you are in the right place~ If you have come here by chance, please hop along and start at the beginning with Amy our UBER TALENTED hostess:) She has some amazing prizes that you can win and that way you won't miss one awesome creative thing! I, too, am offering blog candy and I will have one of my sons pick a random winner that has left a comment on both days of my hop and is also a follower of mine.  The winner will be picked on November 22 to allow plenty of time for you to be able to win and check out all of the amazing craftiness of BOTH DAYS :) Now.. onto today's project :)

My project is a card that I had made. I have been making quite a few cards lately for my business. This card I made with my scraps, bling in my stash, string, an EK Success punch, sentiment & ticket punch (reverse corner rounder) from Stampin' Up! and the clip art was something that I have had for a while and it was pre-colored! It was a VERY quick creation but I don't think it looks that
way which makes it EVEN BETTER :)

During this time of year I also reflect (as many do) how blessed I am. In doing so, I found these (more to be shown tomorrow too.) I realize they may not be the most "beautiful" creations but they are to me. They are laminated and we have used them for playdoh mats, placemats and even magic sand (is that what it is called?) mats.  I will show you my favorite one tomorrow but I thought you would get a kick out of these just as I did... My boys are almost 12 and almost 14-so as  you can see these are a bit old :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by! Your next stop is Jamie and her amazing creation(s)! If you haven't already please be sure to check out all of the amazingly talented people listed below and show them all some love! If you just happened to pop on by, please be sure to check out BOTH DAYS of the entire blog hop participants and start at our LOVELY HOSTESS AMY
The creations are amazing and you will NOT be disappointed!
Have a wonderful day and don't forget to come back tomorrow for more amazing projects and a chance to win blog candy :) GOBBLE GOBBLE!

Your card is super cute, but I LOVE the placemats!! I am a mom of 5, and I have been doing crafts with them, and always save the works of art! So cool! And if you are referring to the "Moon Sand", you are a braver mom than, that stuff is worse than play doh! lol Thanks for sharing!

I think my favorite of this would have to be the placemats. I really think that its awesome you kept those all these years. Coming from a family that doesnt save these little treasures, I wish we did. You can't go go back and replace them once you are grown up. :(

Your card is super also!

The mats are my favorite!! Our kids made those one year as a keepsake for each person who ate Thanksgiving dinner with us.

Tammi, I love this card! I like the folded down corner with 3 brads. That is very unique and really looks nice on your card. I also like the 4 corners on the other piece of cardstock. Very nice! The sentiment tag is beautiful and more brads! Love your card! Thanks for sharing.
Your children's place mats are very special.I love seeing things like that. My Mom keep all our stuff for years. She had it stored in a box in the basement and when our hot water heated busted we lost all those handmade treasures. For treasures they are. They can not be replaced. Thanks for sharing yours.
