Link Up Love Party w/ K Andrew 6/21-6/28

Come join me and get LINKY!
This is a great way to see the amazing creative bloggers out there and share the love for creating BEAUTIFUL THINGS! Sometimes when I feel like I need motivation, I will look at others blogs
to inspire me to create so hopefully this will help you too :) A huge THANK YOU TO K Andrew (KRISTAL) at http://www.gettingcricky.com/! What an awesome way to create new friends and inspiration! Be sure to look at everyone's blog and LEAVE A COMMENT! We love to hear feed back and when you leave comments  it warms our heart. Thanks to all of you and your wonderful feed back.. I have commented and followed all of you thus far and will do so for all that join in the awesome LOVE LINK UP PARTY :) Enjoy your week and
thank you for going on A CREATIVE JOURNEY with me :)

Link Up Love Party and How it Works
*Link Up Party runs from Tuesday 6/21 to Tuesday 6/28.
Winners announced 6/29
*Grab my blinkie and post on your blog's sidebar
*Be a follower of this blog
*Create a new blog post that is titled Link Up Love Party with K Andrew. In your post, you must mention that the link up love party is a way to get to know each other and find new blog inspiration, mention my blog, with a link back to my blog .
*Post your favorite project that you've done in your blog post WITH ONE thing you are grateful for!
*Copy and paste the link up code into your blog post so the Inlinkz will show up on your blog
*Spread the word so everyone can join in!
*You must visit, follow, and comment on the 5 people before you AND the 5 people after you in the Inlinkz. It would be fantastic if you would visit as many as you can--maybe everyone? If you are one of the first 5 then you will need to blog the ones before you and a few more after--as long as it's a minimum of 10 near you in the link up tool/gadget)
If you do not do the above your link will be deleted, because it's just not fair to those who work so hard linking up and showing love to the ones on the list. I have two moderators who will be checking this out to keep it awesome and fun!

Link Up Party: Giveaway! A FULL year subscription to the best scrappy magazine out there: Creating Keepsakes for TWO lucky followers who Link up and play correctly. Winner will be announced June 29'th so make sure you come back to see if you won!!!! Remember, if you dont' claim your prize within ONE week, it goes back in to the pot!

I am thankful for my awesome kids and husband. We ended up moving from the Mid West to California due to my husband's work. What was supposed to be a temporary 3-5  year run turned out to be a permanent situation. Because of this, it encouraged us to get closer, enjoy each other, have deeper relationships with one another and really connect as a family. Although my kids have missed out on some things that I wish they hadn't, we try to visit family as often as time and our budget will allow. Ultimately, my children and hubby call California home and wherever they are - THAT'S WHAT I CONSIDER HOME :)

Now....onto my project! This started with the metal sign
you see in the picture
"Because two people fell in love"
and the rest came from my crafty head-LOL -

I created this with blank canvases, metal key, flowers, mod podge, ribbon, keys, four picture frames, ink, paint, crackle medium and the metal sign. I used various papers, ripped them, used mod podge on the canvas, placed the paper pieces on the canvas, used mod podge again on top of the paper and created the lower canvas and the two upper canvases. I took ink and inked the two small square canvases in the middle as well as the flowers. I added a nail head in the center of both for the flower for decoration and put the flowers on the canvases. I took four cheap wooden frames and put crackle medium on them-a relatively thick layer. I let it dry and then painted over it with the paint which gives the aged look as seen below. You can also see the lines from the mod podge which I actually wanted to add to the texture. If you don't like the look of distinct lines, use a foam brush. It will be more appealing to you.

I mounted all four of the painted picture frames to the canvases.
I then cut out 4 pieces of paper and used a corner punch so
that I can switch out the pictures in the future if I choose to.
The ribbon is stapled to the back of the canvas and the key at the
top is mounted with the ribbon woven through the key hole.

Don't for get to get LINKY and thanks so much for looking! Have a wonderful day :D

This is just amazing! I am just in awe with this! Thank you for sharing this as well as how and what you used to make this!! What a great inspiration! ON a side note, I feel for you as far as your move to CA goes... We are about to move to Hawaii for my Husband's new Duty Station (he is in the US Army). I am originally from Texas, it's where all my family and friends are and my Husband is from Florida where all his family and friends are as well. So this move will be strenuous for all of us but ultimately we are excited to make Hawaii our home as we will ALL be together to make our house in Hawaii HOME. Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece of art and love with the Link Up Love Party with K. Andrew. I am now a new follower and can't wait to see what else you have to share!
