Teacher Appreciation Creations

Hi Creative Friends!

This week is being recognized as teacher appreciation week in our area. Some schools celebrate it during various weeks this month but typically during May. I have created a few simple thank you cards for teachers. I used Becky Higgins discontinued "School Kit" papers, tag and label, a thank you sentiment is from 7 Gypsies, ink from Memento, and Bakers Twine from The Twinery. Below there are two of the five cards I created and in total they took me about 20 minutes.

If you would like to see the rest of my cards, please check out my
Facebook page .  These cards are a GREAT way to use up some of your scraps.
I don't know about  you but I am ALWAYS looking for ways to do that!
I hope you enjoyed the projects and have a wonderful weekend!

I hope you have a wonderfully CREATIVE day!

Father's Day Cards

Hi Crafty Friends!

MY HOW TIME FLIES!! I thought I would post something since it has been a while. School is out, we had our annual garage sale and I am sick but I had some pictures of a few cards I made for Father's Day so I thought I would share! I hope you have a wonderful weekend and enjoy a nice Father's Day celebration with your loved ones!
The top card was made with Stampin' Up stamps and the bottom card was made with
Close to my Heart Stamps and Stampin' Up Stamps. Additional supplies I used were Copic markers, Memento black ink, fishing line and my McGill ticket punch.

The Frog Card

It's a crazy busy weekend- my baby boy is GRADUATING from 5th grade and my mom is coming into town for the graduation! My son will be going into middle school.... I can't believe how time has flown! I really wanted to post something so I thought I would post a card that I had made a card for one of my best friends a month or so back.  She calls her hubby her Frog (I think because he REALLY is her prince charming :D) but I had this stamp set (Unfrogettable) which is retired from Stampin' Up! and just HAD to make it for her!

I had die cut the blue "card" with a Sizzix Bigz XL Die - Album, Accordion #2 (I cut off the piece that you attach to another to make it an accordion album.) I cut the green/cream diamond patterned paper in a square and used a corner rounder. Glued it to the card base. I stamped the frog and the sentiment with black Momento ink. I colored the frog in with glaze pens by Sakura . I cut the frog out with scissors. I punched out a heart and circle.

I cut a pie piece shape out of the green circle so it would resemble a lily pad. I then scored lines to show the "veins" of the leaf and sanded it to show the "veins" more clearly. I glued the lily pad down, then the heart, then the flower and button. I used pop dots under the top half of the frog to give the frog a 3-d effect, I added some twine and wrapped it around the card front three times and tied a knot. PRESTO!! We have the card :D

I really enjoyed making this card. I was pleased how it came out and my friend really enjoyed it as well. I hope you enjoy this project and I would love to hear your feed back!

Have a wonderful day and happy crafting!
