For my Boys Creation

Good Afternoon!
I created this for a friend of the family and thought I would share. I painted the canvas with a tan color, added a little paint to the paper to give the distressed look, mounted the photo on dark blue with the corners punched out, stamped the phrase from the For my Boys stamp set, punched that out and then added some pearls and PRESTO! Here you are! What do you think?
I hope you have a wonderfully CREATIVE day!

A FAST altered frame :)

Hi FANTASTIC followers!

I hope you are enjoying your Sunday. I am! I am sitting here with my family-although we are all doing our own individual things, we are together and I just love being with my "boys" (My husband is in there too!) Sooo onto the crafty :) I had created this for a friend of mine.. It was one of those if you post on my Facebook page, I will make something for you before the year is over.. Well, I did it! I mailed it and she received it BEFORE the new year... but not too long before! So here it is.... I will describe what I did underneath the frame :)

I took one of the Michael's $1 frames and used a sponge brush and painted it with a light coat of Claudine Hellmuth's sable brown paint. I LOVE HER PAINT! It's like BUTTER - rich and creamy! I then used a piece of cream lace ribbon and glued it to the frame. I then took the word treasure from my word stash and glued it to a piece of textured green card stock and glued the word to it. I took a few a few pearls and put them under that, pop dotted it and placed it on the frame :) Last but not least, I took the rosette ribbon and realized it wasn't quite the color I wanted it to be. I took Glimmer Mist and sprayed a non stick craft sheet. I then took the ribbon and soaked up the color and let it dry for about a half hour. I then glued it to the top of the lace ribbon and there ya go :) Pretty simple but I love how it came out. My friend wanted to put a picture in it but she isn't sure what she is going to put in there yet. Thanks for coming by and have a wonderful day!
